Open Studio / Studio Barker

Studio Barker will open its doors for an afternoon to share its garden knowledge. A series of garden installations explores different garden typologies, imagining how gardens can thrive in any condition and contribute to the diversity and liveability of our city. Every garden can thrive when tailored to the right environment, and this event showcases the versatility of planting design in achieving that. Come explore local materials, favourite plants and the design process behind it all.

The exhibition is part of the King William Street Studio open day, featuring Whispering Smith’s film shorts celebrating the gentle density philosophy behind their New Resident projects, and local artist Jessica Wraight exhibiting paintings from her journeys around Fremantle. Members of the public are invited to meet the resident design teams and wander through the warehouse for a day of design, art and inspiration.

Full address:
King William Street Studios – 6 King William Street, South Fremantle, WA 6162

Part of a wider open day at the same venue – includes film shorts from Whispering Smith and paintings from Jessica Wraight, alongside the chance to meet the resident design teams.
