The Nature of Transition / Remington Matters
Known for crafting purposeful and timeless furniture, Remington Matters embodies the concept of transition through their designs. Their pieces enhance the aesthetics of a space and adapt to the evolving needs of everyday life, illustrating the balance between form, function, and the passage of time.
Remington Matters joins a select group of designers and artists exhibiting in The Nature of Transition, a carefully curated experience set against the historic backdrop of the Fremantle Naval Store. Remington Matters is a Perth and Adelaide-based design and production studio dedicated to crafting purposeful designed furniture for real life. We consist of industrial designers, graduate architects, and skilled furniture makers, all driven by the desire to create timeless pieces that stand the test of time.
With a keen focus on practicality and a deep appreciation for the art of living, we meticulously conceive and bring to life captivating products that elevate both residential and commercial spaces. Every item we create is infused with a profound sense of purpose, ensuring that it not only enhances the visual appeal of a room but also serves a meaningful function in everyday life.
Melbourne and Fremantle-based studio Lightly has been dedicated to enriching spaces through thoughtful design since 2005. The studio was inspired by founder Cindy-Lee’s relationship with her grandmother, Rosemary Lightly, with kinship at its core. Lightly focuses on creating sanctuaries for rituals, family, and loved ones.
Shaped by a community of like-minded customers, artisanal makers, and individuals who value sustainable, ethical, and spirited design, Lightly offers a range of home products born from relationships and resourcefulness; design and functionality; colour and form.
Lightly aims to lead by example in the global design market, making Australian design accessible and building a family of like-minded souls. Over the years, the studio has nurtured relationships within the international architecture, hospitality, and design community, reflecting shared values and boundless creativity.
