Pause on the street and look in. Nothing in nature stays still – everything moves, decays, adapts, disappears, then returns wearing another shape.
This window sits inside that in-between – the moment one form has ended and the next hasn’t quite arrived. Matter becomes memory. Decay becomes nourishment. Absence becomes presence. What looks like an ending is often just the beginning of another cycle, wearing a different face.
Maybe destruction was never the right word for it. Maybe this is nature’s oldest form of intelligence – and ours too, if we’re willing to notice it.
Nothing truly disappears. It becomes.

Natalia Diaz
Natalia Diaz is a Colombian-born fashion and textile artist based in Fremantle, Western Australia, and the founder of ALGARABIA DESIGNER – an experimental label where material exploration, artisanal craftsmanship and conceptual storytelling meet. Guided by the philosophy of BREAK THE RULES, Natalia builds each collection around personal, emotional and cultural narratives rather than trend, working through research, textile experimentation and unconventional materials to create garments that hold their own as wearable art.
Every piece is made to order, in limited editions or one of a kind, a slow and deliberate process that keeps the integrity of the making intact. Her practice moves between nature, memory and human existence, translating those ideas into form through handcrafted and sustainable methods. Natalia’s work has shown at Ellenbrook Gallery and through independent exhibitions across Perth, alongside platforms including Eco Fashion Australia, Revive and the Circular Fashion Festival – with Darwin Fashion Week and Freo Fashion Festival ahead this year.
