No Idle Water: Fremantle on the Brink

presented by Architectus, featuring Ed Hicks, Manuel Tsakoumagkos and more

Fremantle on the Brink asks bold questions about the port city’s state of transition and speculates on what Fremantle could look like 30 years from now.

The event will showcase work from the Architectus Design Charrette, which this year brings together designers from across Australia for a three-day challenge in Fremantle.

Expect an evening of thought-provoking conversation on the role of Fremantle’s built environment in enabling a vibrant and resilient future for the city, featuring local design voices Ed Hicks and Manuel Tsakoumagkos, with more names to be announced.

This event is a no strings attached, blue-sky exploration that celebrates innovation and design at its core. Bringing together a diverse mix of perspectives and future-focused provocations, we will draw on Fremantle’s unique local character as the anchor point for a discussion on our city’s future.

The night will include presentations from the design team, a sneak peek at the outcomes of the charrette exercise, and a conversation about the role of the built environment in navigating times of transition.

We invite creative thinkers and aspiring design leaders to be part of the conversation with some of the people shaping the city we love.

This event is free but please register via the link.
