Join us for a relaxed, hands-on upcycling session where creativity meets practical skills. Suitable for beginners, each one-hour workshop invites children, teenagers and adults to transform reclaimed materials into something unique while learning simple sewing and textile techniques.
Choose from a variety of creative projects, including turning old T-shirts into yarn, making macramé dog toys, scrunchies and bag charms, learning basic hand-stitching, or bringing along your own T-shirt or jeans to personalise with our collection of reclaimed trims and embellishments.
Sessions run on the hour and cost $15 per person, per hour. Stay for one session or book additional time to complete your project or try another activity.
All materials are provided, no experience is necessary, and participants aged 8 years and over may participate independently.
Flipping Fun! also makes a wonderful activity for families, friends, birthday celebrations or small groups looking for a creative experience during Fremantle Design Week.

Slow Fashion Hub
The Slow Fashion Hub is a creative community space in the heart of Fremantle where people of all ages come together to learn, make, repair and reimagine clothing. Through hands-on workshops, shared skills and reclaimed materials, we help people discover the joy of making while extending the life of textiles that might otherwise become waste. Whether you’re picking up a needle for the first time or rediscovering a forgotten skill, the Hub is a welcoming place to connect, create and be inspired. Our workshops celebrate creativity, resourcefulness and the value of making things by hand, proving that fashion can be fun, practical and community-driven. We invite everyone to experience a different way of thinking about clothing—one that values creativity, craftsmanship and giving materials a second life.
